VidMind is a Chrome extension that allows users to ask questions about YouTube videos and receive AI-generated answers based on the video's transcript.
When you use VidMind, the extension may process the following information to provide its functionality:
VidMind does not request your name, email address, password, payment information, precise location, or other personally identifiable information as part of its normal functionality.
The information processed by VidMind is used solely to provide its core functionality: retrieving relevant information from a YouTube video's transcript and generating answers to questions about that video.
Video transcripts are processed to create searchable representations that allow VidMind to retrieve relevant portions of the video when answering questions.
VidMind uses third-party services to provide its functionality. Information may be transmitted to these services as necessary to process transcripts, generate embeddings, retrieve relevant information, and generate AI responses.

VidMind does not sell user data or use user data for advertising, creditworthiness decisions, or lending purposes.
Communications between the VidMind extension and its backend are made using HTTPS. API credentials used by VidMind's backend services are not included in the browser extension.
VidMind stores information required to provide its functionality, including processed transcript data and video ingestion status. VidMind does not intentionally retain user questions as a separate user profile or use them for purposes unrelated to providing the extension's functionality.
